Marc Herdegen

PRESIDENT

Marc Herdegen was named President of The Wilmington Group in 2025. Marc has more than 30 years of experience in leadership and management, product development, investment, and strategy consulting. Marc has led global organizations, launched new products, developed growth strategies, and advised executives across a range of industries.

A senior principal at New State Capital Partners, the parent company of The Wilmington Group, Marc recently held executive leadership positions with Defy Security, NWN Carousel and Honeywell International. At Honeywell, Marc was a Senior Director responsible for leading multiple product lines, with full P&L responsibility. As an enterprise General Manager, Marc had primary responsibility for developing and implementing strategies to drive revenue growth and operating income expansion for the flagship integrated avionics product lines in Honeywell’s Aerospace Strategic Business Group.

Previously, Marc was an executive at I-Group LLC, a private investment company and a consultant at Bain & Company. Marc started his career as an aviation officer in the United States Army, where he was an AH-64D Longbow Apache attack helicopter pilot, and aviation maintenance and logistics expert. Marc was awarded the Bronze Star and two Air Medals during his service as a Company Commander in Iraq.

Marc received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the United States Military Academy at West Point and earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Ki Daniels

DIRECTOR OF LOGISTICS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE

Ki is currently the Director of Logistics and Customer Service for The Wilmington Group. 

Ki has been an integral part of The Wilmington Group logistics since 2012, when she had a hand in establishing Green Logistics. Green was folded into the Wilmington Group in 2025.  In 2016, Ki was named Operations Manager and later became Executive Director.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, Ki spent over 13 years with Georgia-Pacific, holding various positions in customer service, logistics (specifically global logistics), and management.  

 

Paige Denton

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Paige was promoted to Executive Director, New Business Development in 2025. She is now responsible for new business development for all of The Wilmington Group.

She previously served as  Executive Vice President of Sales for RMR, where she oversaw all procurement and national accounts.  

Paige first joined RMR in 2015 as the North Carolina sales manager, supporting volume growth into the Raleigh and High Point RMR plants.

She began her career in recycling in 2002 at Pratt Industries in the Charlotte, NC market.

Prior to RMR, she worked for International Paper. During her 10 years at Weyerhaeuser/IP, she moved from a local sourcing role into an East Coast Brokerage position, working closely with IP’s Global Sourcing group to supply and coordinate shipments to IP’s internal mill system.

CHRIS GIOVETSIS

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Chris Giovetsis is the Director of Operations for Recycling Management Resources, supporting all RMR facilities on efficient plant operations, staffing and talent management, effective program implementation, and new growth goals.

With over 14 years of experience in the recycling industry, Chris brings a focus on safety, strong leadership skills, and a positive attitude to the position. Chris joined The Wilmington Group in April 2022 as the Northeast Regional Plant Manager, overseeing operations at the plants in Barrington, NJ, Wilmington, DE, and Richmond, VA.

Ron Sorensen

DIRECTOR OF MANUFACTURING

Ron joined The Wilmington Group in November 2022. He focuses on safety, culture development, and operational excellence at our 10 recycling plants. He also oversees safety education and safety data tracking and analysis for all of The Wilmington Group.

 

Ron has more than 15 years of experience holding various operations and safety leadership positions in the recycling industry. Before the Wilmington Group, Ron supported WestRock’s recycling plants as the North Region Safety Manager.

 

He has a proven record in all areas of safety, productivity, quality, and profitability improvement throughout his career.

 

Ron’s extensive environmental, health, safety leadership, and recycling operational background will play a vital supporting role in helping to lead our efforts towards continuous improvement.
